Ireka:
Running for a Noble Cause in the KL Rat Race
2009

It was Ireka Corporation
Berhad's maiden participation in The Edge-Bursa
Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Rat Race 2009, sending a team
of 5 runners for the 4.5 km Main Race under the
Mixed Category; while Ireka's Executive Director,
Mr Lai Voon Hon who completed a 1 km CEO Race, had
also won the Best Dressed CEO Award. The event
raised a record total of RM1.75 million from 67
local and foreign companies, with the funds being
channeled to 20 charity beneficiaries.

Supported 'Circle of Hope' of the Malaysian AIDS
Foundation (MAF)

|
Ireka contributed RM5,000 to
Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) in conjunction with
the fundraising movie screening for 'Circle of
Hope' scheme under MAF. Apart from funding the
operational funds and programmes by MAF and
Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC), other beneficiaries
of 'Circle of Hope' include Children and Youth
Assistance Scheme and the Medical Assistance
Scheme.

Contributes to the Malaysian Aids Foundation
(MAF)

In conjunction with the Red
Ribbon Gala 2008 held on 25 October 2008, Ireka
Corporation Berhad contributed a donation of
RM35,000 in aid of the Malaysian AIDS Foundation
(MAF). MAF is committed to creating a safe
environment, free from the harm of HIV/AIDS, as
well as in educating the public, families and
friends of people living with AIDS, national and
local authorities on matters relating to HIV/AIDS
prevention. MAF is also dedicated in rendering
financial support to the people living with
HIV/AIDS to minimise the negative impacts caused to
their livelihoods.

Charity
Movie Premiere In Aid of the Kiwanis Children
Education Fund

Apart from a donation of
RM50,000, Ireka Corporation Berhad presented an
inaugural charity movie premiere on 5 June 2007, in
aid of the Kiwanis Children Education Fund. Kiwanis
Children Education Fund is helmed by the Kiwanis
Club of Damansara, with the aim of providing
financial aid for educational purposes to hardcore
poor children at pre-school level in the Klang
Valley and Selangor. The beneficiaries for the
charity premiere were orphanage home Rumah Sayangan
in Cheras, and kindergartens such as Tadika Fatimah
in Petaling Jaya, Taman Kanak Kanak Fatima, Batang
Berjuntai and Home for The Angels.
